Caterina Valero

Senior Programs Director

Ms. Caterina Valero is currently Senior Programs Director at the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF). Ms. Valero is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Sorbonne, Paris, France. Ms. Valero also holds a Master in Comparative Political Science (DEA - Diplôme d'études approfondies en Science Politique Comparative) from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques (IEP) in France and a Master in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.  A Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication, Ms. Valero has twenty years of experience working on democracy, governance, civil society, public policies and development for international organizations. Ms. Valero has coordinated regional or national projects sponsored by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the European Union (EU), World Bank (WB), the Inter-American Foundation (IAF), and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). Ms. Valero has taught Political Theory; Governance and Political Systems; Democracy and Citizen Participation; Leadership and Civil Society Development in several Universities. She has published numerous books and articles related to public policy, development and public-private partnerships.
