The Multisectoral Alliance to Reduce Human Trafficking

Hurricane and Tropical Storm Relief

Delivered cleanup and reconstruction supplies to 100 flood-affected families in the state of Veracruz with support from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd in the aftermath of  Hurricane Ingrid and Tropical Storm Manuel.

Increasing Water and Food Security

PADF is working with Plenty Belize, a village-based development agency, to provide on-site skills training through its Garden-Based Agriculture for Belize’s Environment (GATE) initiative.

Providing Safe Spaces for Youth to Grow

Reducing Youth Attrition

Repairing Elementary Schools
Canaries region, St. Lucia
The Canaries region suffered the most damage from the Christmas floods of late 2013. By working with SRDF to restore eight district elementary schools to working condition, PADF and RCL ensured two critical items.

Strengthening Literacy
Ushuaia, Argentina

The RCL funding has helped support a children’s center that served 150 children. The grant increased the number of books in the center’s library, which has expanded the types of reading activities available to the children, many of whom are socially at-risk.

Supporting Girls Leadership

As in previous years, PADF is proud to work with RCL to support the “Annual Girls Leadership Conference,” a training and networking event which exclusively targets Bahamian girls throughout New Providence and the Outer (Family) Islands

Supporting Primary School Education

Funding from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. supported academic programs in math, science, reading, as well as teacher training workshops, and also provided furniture and equipment to schools.

Supporting Women Entrepreneurs

Through this project MUCEC reached over 100 victims of domestic violence and offered them social support, a safe space, and classes in self-esteem, leadership, life plan development, assertive communication, sexuality, and nutrition.

Tropical Storm Isaac Relief

PADF distributed bottled water and supported the local Emergency Operations Center in providing beds and medical and hygiene supplies.

Tropical Storm Sandy Relief

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. worked with PADF to generously provide relief assistance to the hardest hit coastal areas of St. Marie, St. Thomas, Portland and St. Andrew.
