PADF Executive Director John Sanbrailo visited Haiti in June 2016. During his stay, he visited numerous projects, including Glory Industries, a factory in Port-au-Prince.

The company is led Myrtha Vilbon, a dynamic female entrepreneur with more than three decades of business experience. She decided to start a local factory to compete with foreign imports. She is one of many entrepreneurs supported by the USAID-funded LEAD program (Leveraging Effective Application of Direct Investments), which is implemented by PADF.

The company began operations in July 2015 and already employs 90 people, most of them women. Projected revenue for this year is more than $2 million dollars.

Sanbrailo also visited the construction and ongoing neighborhood revitalization in Delmas 32 and the PRODEPUR project in Cité Soleil.

PADF Executive Director John Sanbrailo wishes Myrtha Vilbon good luck before she heads off to the Global Entreprensur Summit.
