On January 15, 2016, Haiti's Bureau of Monetization of Development Aid Programs (BMPAD) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala.
At the event, PADF received an award for its "outstanding contribution to our collective mission driving our beloved Haiti on the path to modernity in the last 30 years."
Working closely with the Haitian government PADF has implemented more than 1,000 community-driven development projects as a way to provide employment and vital services in rural and urban communities. The PRODEPUR and PRODEPUR-Habitat projects have worked in the neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince to improve income generation opportunities, strengthen the capacity of community-based organizations, and help communities identify, prioritize and implement projects to address development challenges.
PADF looks forward to continuing our partnership with BMPAD and the Haitian government to support long-term economic growth in the region. To learn more about the history of our work in Haiti, download our fact sheet.
