Campaign Against Child Labor 2016

Project
PADF partnered with the Government of Mexico’s Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) to launch “Todos Contra el Trabajo Infantil” (Everyone Against Child Labor), an awareness campaign and website that reached more than 94 million people on social media. Mexican actress and singer Maite Perroni acted as goodwill ambassador, kicking off the campaign in October 2016 at the Papalote Children's Museum in Mexico City. Additional partners included the Telefónica Foundation Mexico, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Mexico and the Mexican Youth Institute (IMJUVE).

The campaign empowered young people to become agents of change by offering them education on child labor, tools to take action and encouraging them so that they can make a difference in their communities.

More than 1,000 students attended university forums where they shared ideas about how to raise awareness in their communities and on social networks.
