Creando conciencia sobre un “Camino Seguro” para las mujeres en la ruta migratoria
Las mujeres son vulnerables a varias modalidades de la trata de personas en la ruta migratoria mesoamericana. En el marco del 25 de noviembre, Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia Contra la Mujer, y los 16 días de activismo, el equipo del proyecto Camino Seguro de la Fundación Panamericana para el Desarrollo (PADF) llevó a cabo varias acciones en Guatemala con el apoyo de Facilitadores Voluntarios Comunitarios (FVCs) y en Honduras en asocio y alianzas con actores claves para informar sobre la prevención de la trata entre personas migrantes, especialmente la explotación de mujeres.
Con el apoyo de PADF, los FVCs y varios socios organizaron jornadas de sensibilización, ferias informativas, charlas, videos, spots radiales y una conferencia de prensa. Estas acciones de coordinación interinstitucional con el sector público, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y medios de comunicación buscan prevenir la trata de personas, fortalecer marcos institucionales para proteger a víctimas y posibles víctimas en la ruta migratoria y proporcionar servicios a las personas sobrevivientes de la trata.
