Building Skills of Venezuelan Migrants in Trinidad and Tobago
The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) believes in creating jobs, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and increasing access to opportunities, particularly for vulnerable populations like migrants and their host communities. In Trinidad and Tobago, PADF is providing certified skills training to Venezuelan migrants in partnership with the CTS College of Business and Computer Science Ltd, Arlene Villarule Make-up Artistry, and the Automation Technology College. The trainings have covered a wide variety of topics and industries, including solar panel installation, party decorating, and the culinary arts.
This activity is made possible through the generous funding of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration.
Students have taken courses like solar panel installation, helping to open up their job opportunities and make Trinidad and Tobago more sustainable and resilient to climate change.
