PADF Extends Condolences and Stands in Solidarity with People of Guyana

The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) expresses profound sorrow over the tragic loss of 19 children resulting from the catastrophic fire that has afflicted the town of Mahdia, Guyana.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, and we stand in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy.

In times like these, it is crucial that we come together as a global community to offer support, comfort, and strength to one another. To the brave first responders, emergency services, and volunteers, who braved the fire on the evening of May 21st and government officials who are providing relief, we express our deepest gratitude. Your selflessness and dedication inspire us all, and we are immensely grateful for your unwavering commitment to the people of Guyana.

We encourage everyone to reach out to those affected, offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on. Let us embrace the spirit of humanity, compassion and solidarity that defines us as a global community.

The Guyana Red Cross Society has opened a hotline for those affected. If you need support, call 5926851940.
